Coop robbed in Yermasoyia Updated

first_imgA cooperative bank was robbed on Wednesday morning by two armed robbers in Limassol.According to police, the individuals had their faces covered and smashed a glass side door before barging into the Yermasoyia co-op at around 10am.Nine people were inside the branch, five of which were customers and one small child.Threatening with a sawn-off shotgun, one of the robbers, with a Cypriot accent told everyone to fall to the ground.They grabbed a sum of money – which has yet to be disclosed – and ran off.Limassol CID chief Ioannis Soteriades said they had parked their white Toyota vitz outside the branch and used it to escape.
