PSPCL says wont tolerate powertheft in Punjab

first_imgPatiala: Stating that Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) is on a mission to make Punjab a power theft-free state, CMD Baldev Singh Sran revealed on Sunday that the corporation has successfully got the police remand of a Anand Nagar-B resident, Harbans Singh, who was nabbed from Rajpura along with his car and a variety of meter tampering instruments recently.While Singh is being questioned by the police, the information he has provided so far has led to PSPCL officials raiding locations in various parts of the state, uncovering as many as 24 cases of possible power theft in Bahadurgarh, Nabha Road, Baran, Sirhind Road, Charan Bagh, Model Town (Patiala), Bhawanigarh, and Kharar among others.
