A senior figure with the budget airline revealed CEO Michael O’Leary’s wish at a function to push the airline’s winter schedule this week.Sign up for the weekly Limerick Post newsletter Sign Up Ryanair’s head of sales and marketing, Peter Bellew, said that it was disapointing that Ryanair had not been able to buy Aer Lingus as that would have given the airline the opportunity to acquire transatlantic aircraft.“Michael would like to do transatlantic routes but we can’t get the aircraft. If we had taken over Aer Lingus, within weeks we would have had a huge order in for aircraft. We would have had a major transatlantic hub at Shannon. If aircraft get freed up, we will be lookimg at that hub in Shannon,” he said.Mr Bellew was speaking at a joint Ryanair/Shannon airport Travel Clinic in Bunratty, designed to promote both the airport and the new routes to professionals in the travel trade. €28,000 of Suspected Cocaine Seized in Limerick City

first_imgLinkedin GARDAÍ have arrested a man following the seizure of €28,000 of suspected cocaine in Limerick city on September 10, 2020.Shortly after 6.30pm Gardaí from the Limerick Divisional Drugs Unit executed a search warrant at an apartment on Wickham Street.Sign up for the weekly Limerick Post newsletter Sign Up During the course of the search Gardaí seized €28,000 of suspected cocaine along with gloves, weighing scales, plastic bags and a vacuum packing machine.The suspected drugs will now be sent to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis.As part of the investigation Gardaí arrested a man, aged in his 20s, in Co. Cork this afternoon. He is currently detained at Roxboro Road Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice, Drug Trafficking Act, 1996.
