Mane stepped up but was horribly saved by Matasi.Three minutes after the hour mark, Ismaila Sarr gave Senegal the deserved lead with a volley capitalising on a mistake from Kenyan goalie Matasi.Mane doubled the advantage in the 71st minute with a cool finish after Harambee Stars defender Musa Mohammed failed to deal with a long ball allowing the Senegalese star man a clean run at goal.In the 78th minute, Senegal were awarded another penalty after Kenya’s Philemon Otieno challenge on Sarr inside the area. The defender was shown a second yellow, Mane redeemed himself from the resulting spot kick.Mane ( Senegal) and Kenyan duo of Joseph Okumu and Ayub Timbe Masika were booked.Aliou Cisse introduced on Krepin Diatta for Idrissa Gueye, Moussa Konate for M’Baye Niang whereas Kenya withdrew Dennis Odhiambo for John Avire and Ayub Timbe for Bernard Ochieng.In the other group C contest, Algeria who made a total of nine changes humbled Tanzania 3-0, thanks to first half goals from Islam Slimani and Adam Ounas braceThe Algerians finished top of the group with 9 points, followed by Senegal on 6 and Kenya in third.
