But Zuriff said Woods’ private nature “doesn’t lend itself to what this is becoming.”“I think it’s more than just golf,” he said, “And Tiger is the greatest golfer of all time. But to spend three hours with these guys in the golf carts where they should open up, you don’t get that with Tiger.”- Advertisement – In preparing for The Match 3 later this month, executive producer Bryan Zuriff forecasts a bright future for the celebrity golf outing, and if all goes well, it could result in a network bidding war.Zuriff, the co-creator of the celebrity golf tournament The Match, said the third installment promises more entertainment, more celebrity call-ins and more golf cart bantering, though it’ll be the first event without Tiger Woods.“We’re losing maybe the greatest golf of all time for maybe the worst of all time,” said Zuriff, who is also Hollywood producer best known for his work on Showtime’s Ray Donovan series.- Advertisement – Mahomes versus Brady?Zuriff teased Woods’ return would excite more interest in the future but previewed a Brady versus Patrick Mahomes match in near term.“There’s a version of that where maybe he teams up with Justin Thomas and takes on Phil and Tom Brady potentially,” Zuriff said. The Match is under an agreement with Turner on a year-by-year basis, according to Zuriff, who did not reveal specifics of the pact. If it continues to gain popularity and solid ratings, it could create interest from other networks. Zuriff didn’t rule out future bidding war, but said the Match is better suited for Turner’s promotion and presentation style and predicted a long partnership. Also, Zuriff has a good relationship with WarnerMedia chairman Jeff Zucker and Turner Sports president Lenny Daniels. And of course, they have Barkley, who Zuriff again praised for helping make the Match 2 successful.“It’s not about golf, it’s about personality,” Zuriff said. “And that’s what I’m hoping this turns into.” Building a marketplaceIn his interview with CNBC, Zuriff didn’t elaborate on the cost of the Match 3 but noted, “our ads dollars are higher than our expense.”Zuriff said the ad revenue for the Match 2 was “massive because we’re delivering four major athletes to an event with a real element of drama to it.”It’s here Zuriff wants to build on the event annually. He said The Match would draw interest on Black Friday, which he labeled “a dead day in sports.”This year, outside of college football games, the four major pro sports leagues are off. In a typical year, NBA and NHL games are usually played on Black Friday, but with Covid-19 impacting schedules, MediaRadar CEO Todd Krizelman said the Match is a great investment for advertisers looking for eyeballs.“It’s a highly unique, one-of-a-kind event with top name talent,” Krizelman said via email. “This is a special event airing on TNT who broadcasts NBA and MLB games, both of which will be in the off-season. In the absence of other programming, this means that TNT will be aggressively marketing the exclusive to their audience.”According to the ad firm, pre-pandemic Black Friday ad spend Thanksgiving was roughly $23 million. The firm also estimated The Match 2 attracted 65 brands, which drove approximately $5.8 million in spend across four WarnerMedia’s networks (HLN, TBS, TNT, TruTV) in May.Longtime marketing executive Tony Ponturo said the event’s “entertainment value” should also attract ad dollars with more personable figures like Curry and Barkley.“There’s interest there,” said Ponturo, who served as vice-president of Anheuser-Busch global media sports and entertainment marketing for 17 years. “When Mickelson and Tiger played, I think people were looking for more banter and having some fun.”Asked about the Match occurring every year after Thanksgiving, Ponturo said it would emulate the historic Skins Game. Last played in 2009, the game combined four PGA Tour golfers who competed for holes that equaled prize money.“It was fun golf, and it was different,” said Ponturo of the Skins Game. The first installment of The Match in November 2018 between Woods and Mickelson was for a $9 million prize and received positive viewership, though it was branded as a pay-per-view event.“I think there is a place for it with the right individuals,” Ponturo added. “Maybe after five or six of them, it may start to exhaust itself, but at least there is something there for the moment.” – Advertisement – The Match 3 will air on WarnerMedia’s TNT network and raise money for Historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs). Sports gambling company DraftKings will be the event’s betting partner. The company told CNBC bets have so far favored the Curry and Manning team beating Barkley and Mickelson. DraftKings plans to expand its offers over the next few days as it gathers more information on the event.Zuriff cautioned Curry is an underrated golfer and expects him to make the Match 3 competitive.“He’s right below the pro level,” Zuriff said of Curry. “He’s preparing to win because he takes his golf seriously. And the fact of beating a pro [Mickelson] is a big challenge for him.” US basketball player Charles Barkley arrives for the 2019 NBA Awards at Barker Hangar on June 24, 2019 in Santa Monica, California.Lisa O’Connor | AFP | Getty Images
But now, as Trump fumes over his embarrassing defeat to the man he declared “the worst candidate in history,” intelligence officials are furiously trying to stave off the immediate harm he can do even as they shudder over the long-term threat he represents moving forward. At this very moment, intelligence officials are attempting to prevent Trump from declassifying a wealth of information about Russia that he believes would prove Russian President Vladimir Putin didn’t want Trump to win in 2016 even though Putin has openly admitted he did. Making that information public would also compromise U.S. intelligence sources and upset U.S. allies who, in certain instances, have provided the intel. – Advertisement – But whatever risks Trump poses now, many of them will follow him out the door. Everything from procedures for launching nuclear weapons to U.S. intelligence-gathering methods and intelligence assets embedded in foreign governments are on the line. Trump is like a treasure trove of information who is poised to spill whatever beans will benefit him to whomever tickles his ego and humors his business interests. Shortly after Trump leaves office, he’ll be on the hook for over $400 million in loans coming due—and that’s just for starters. As the Post‘s Shane Harris notes, Trump “checks the boxes of a classic counterintelligence risk: He is deeply in debt and angry at the U.S. government, particularly what he describes as the ‘deep state’ conspiracy that he says tried to stop him from winning the White House in 2016 and what he falsely claims is an illegal effort to rob him of reelection.”In other words, Trump has a lot of scores to settle and they all figure badly for U.S. national security. Plus, once he walks out the door, even fewer of his personal interests will align with those of the U.S. government—like zero, in fact. – Advertisement – The Washington Post‘s David Ignatius reports that the battle to keep the intelligence under wraps has “raged within the administration” ever since the final days leading up to Election Day. CIA Director Gina Haspel has vehemently argued against the declassification, putting her in Trump’s crosshairs for the post-election vengeance purge he has already kicked off over at the Pentagon. According to Ignatius, several top administration officials along with a bipartisan group of senators have all been trying to insulate Haspel from Trump’s reprisal. The effort to safeguard the intelligence may have also been part of what triggered Trump’s expulsions at the Defense Department. Recently ousted Defense Secretary Mark Esper had supported and advocated for Haspel’s position against making the intelligence disclosures. The ominous news is, Senate Republicans may be the country’s last line of defense against Trump’s impulses, which would greatly compromise the country’s national security. Those would be the same Senate Republicans who are humoring Trump’s delusions that the election was stolen from him as they work to keep control of the upper chamber by prevailing in the two Georgia Senate runoffs. One senior congressional source told Ignatius: “How much do you stay quiet during the tantrum period? What damage will it do to national security? That’s a real-time discussion that’s going on.”So far, not a peep from Senate Republicans—just a lot of Trump bootlicking. – Advertisement – – Advertisement –
Bourelle filed for divorce from Adams in October 2017, kess than two years after their February 2016 wedding. The roofer cited irreconcilable differences. In their divorce documents, Bourelle claimed that the pair had been “living separate lives” since August 21, 2017.“The date of separation is 1 year and 6 months from the date of their marriage,” the docs state. “They are now agreed and intend to live apart permanently.”After a stint on Underwood’s season, Adams went on to appear on season 6 of Bachelor in Paradise. While she had connections with Derek Peth and John Paul Jones, Adams was single by October 2019 when she and Jones called it quits for good. In August 2020, news broke that Adams was taking over for Clare Crawley on season 16 of The Bachelorette because the hairstylist fell in love with Dale Moss within the first two weeks of filming.- Advertisement – “It’s not hard at all [to talk about the divorce on The Bachelorette] because it’s definitely something that I’ve experienced in the past and it led me to today,” she told Us Weekly ahead of her November 2020 debut on the series. “But I don’t want it to define me because it doesn’t define me. It’s just something that I grew from and I learned from.”Adams added that her past relationship affected her journey as the Bachelorette.- Advertisement – – Advertisement – “Having been married before, I feel like … I’m not just going to do anything just to do something. I’m not going to do it because I feel like I need to or do this and that. I’m going to do it because it’s the right thing to do, and I’m excited and happy,” she told Us at the time. “If it were to happen, it’d be with the right sentiment.”Scroll through for more on Adams’ divorce: Before Bachelor Nation met Tayshia Adams, she was married to her college sweetheart, Josh Bourelle.“I actually married my first boyfriend, and I was with him for about six years or so. I guess I could, kind of, sense we weren’t doing very well,” Adams told Colton Underwood on season 23 of The Bachelor, which aired in 2019. “And I think that’s why I fought so hard just to try to do as much as I possibly could [to save the marriage].”- Advertisement –

It is estimated that there are a total of about 10.000 such workers, both locals and mostly seasonal workers from the continent and Slavonia. “Although the workers do not currently have an established employment relationship, they have counted on employment in tourism and are equally affected by this situation, without social security and it is uncertain how long they will be able to start working.”Emphasize from the Social Council for Tourism. Photo: Lika destination _ Education of employees in tourism 1. Exemption from the obligation to pay taxes and contributions on salaries for workers who are currently out of work and / or working at a significantly reduced intensity, with the aim of preserving jobs and liquidity; 4. Reduction of VAT and deferral of tax payment; reduction of other fiscal and parafiscal obligations, concession fees and public levies to local governments 3. Favorable liquidity lending and / or elaboration of models for payment of existing and future liabilities (interest payments, principal deferral) and / or complete moratorium on credit liabilities for a certain period of time depending on the degree of threat “Due to extraordinary circumstances, it is necessary to adopt extraordinary measures, which must enable that after the crisis, which will, we hope, end soon, we can continue to work as if it never existed. This means that all of us together must do everything to save jobs, ensure regular payment of workers’ salaries, but also compensation of salaries to those workers who, unfortunately, could not start working due to this situation. Measures must be taken immediately, so that the consequences of the lack of adequate measures do not ultimately deepen the chronic shortage of workers after the crisis caused by the coronavirus”, Said Marina Cvitić, president of the Trade Union of Istria, Kvarner and Dalmatia. The measures will depend on the duration and extent of the damage caused by the impact of the coronavirus on the economy, and in the situation of practically stopped or significantly reduced operation of catering facilities, urgent decisions are needed to ensure workers’ incomes. Therefore, for workers scheduled to work in the season with whom the employer has agreed employment, and will realize it with a greater delay, we propose the following measures: Priority measures are given to ensure liquidity in the next two months in the function of preserving jobs and to ensure business conditions for the continuation of the tourist year and the normalization of business, point out the Social Council for Tourism at HUP. “Urgent solutions are needed and it is important that all employers and trade unions and the Government of the Republic of Croatia, ie the public and state sector, give their contribution, because as employers lose part of their revenues, the public sector will have to make urgent decisions to reduce overall operating costs” said Natali Komen Bujas, director of HUP – Association of Hospitality and Tourism. Employers and unions in tourism are jointly appealing to urgently adopt measures to help tourism. “Preservation of employment and existing jobs in the situation of already present labor shortage in tourism is of key interest for the entire economy of the Republic of Croatia, since tourism in the Republic of Croatia is a fundamental driver of the entire economy and development of other closely related activities, transport, trade, agriculture, construction , culture, sports, etc.” said Eduard Andrić, President of the Trade Union of Tourism and Services of Croatia and President of the Social Council for Tourism We are also aware that if this situation persists, not only the employment of permanent workers is endangered and we also take special care of seasonal workers with whom employment has already been agreed, but due to this situation they failed to start work as planned, according to the Social Tourism Council. 1. Introduction of a job waiting fee in the amount of 70% of the average salary in the Republic of Croatia Through our role as a responsible social partner, we are talking as signatories of the Collective Agreement on Hospitality, considering the possibility of temporarily invalidating the agreement reached on increasing the minimum basic salaries in hospitality for 2020, the Social Council for Tourism points out. 5. Active approach of the Republic of Croatia and use of planned measures to help the tourism sector from EU funds Photo: Pixabay.com Preserving employment and existing jobs is key The social partners in tourism expect urgent support from the Government of the Republic of Croatia for companies and workers and propose the following “Measures to help tourism and preserve jobs in the hospitality industry” due to the impact of the corona virus: 2. Expansion and adjustment of the measure Permanent seasonal – reduction of the obligation to engage this year; that seasonal workers who were supposed to start work, but have not been so far, may also be included in the measure; relaxation of conditions for the implementation of measures related to the minimum maintenance of the number of employed persons; 2. Extension of the permanent seasonal measure to all those who were supposed to be employed for the period of waiting for employment from 1 April onwards
